City Search Engine Optimization and Marketing: Location-Specific SEO

The challenge: provide specialist search engine optimization (SEO) tips to people interested in location-specific SEO. Hence the name of the blog: City Search Engine Optimization.

The means: research on search engines, writing tips, how-tos and guides, and of course testing via the scientific method.

Note: Search engine optimization isn't the same as search engine marketing. The former refers to the practice of giving a website prominence in the search engines and their results pages, or SERPs, while the other refers to the use of search engines to market one's website to humans. At least, that's what it should mean.

In practice, people refer to search engine marketing to mean search engine optimization, or marketing to the search engines. But what good is it to market to the search engines if you don't use the search engines to market to real human beings?

Join me, Bookworm, as I develop the field of search engine optimization for local search, or location specific SEO, and present you with my specialized findings and tips.
